About me

Hello world!!! It has been quite a while now, that I did not enrich the internet with a personal page ;-), and I thought it is about time to share some info with you again. My name is Danny Ruijters, and I work as a 3D Imaging Scientist at the Healthcare division of Philips. If you want to find out a bit more about my professional life, have a look at my CV at LinkedIn.

Next to my work at Philips, I am currently performing a Ph.D. thesis, supervised by Paul Suetens of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, and Bart ter Haar Romeny of the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. Of course there is a great deal of overlap between my work at Philips and my thesis, so I am really glad that Philips supports me doing this. The articles that I have published, mostly in the context of my thesis, can be found at the Publications page.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my beloved Sveta. We met in Paris, in the autumn of 2000, when I was there to perform my diploma thesis. Here you can see our wedding photos. Further, I enjoy to play the clarinet in a wind orchestra, called Harmonie St. Catherina Lemiers.

In the past I have created a couple of websites. Since most of them have disappeared, or at least changed significantly, I thought that I could give myself the illusion that my work was not completely in vain, by putting them here. Kind of a mini-museum of Danny's lost websites. Please be aware that the content of these websites is outdated. (Well, after all, that is kind of the definition of a museum's content.)
The first website I created, served my student organization A.V. Hollandia. It underwent several transitions, and this was its final layout.
When I started to orient myself on the job market, in 2001, I created a nice multi-lingual website. You can find my 2001 CV there, and some background information regarding my university, student jobs I had, etc.
I also created a website for the wind orchestra, I play in. Nowadays it is being maintained by Ruben Damoiseaux. This is the version that I originally created.
